German is not hard to understand. It is hard to say in time. Agnetia trains the speed, which is the whole difference between knowing the cases and using them.
German is known or not known at conversational speed
Anyone can memorise the declension table in an afternoon. Sixteen cells, four cases, three genders plus the plural. The difficulty starts when you have to pick the right cell while building the sentence and without stopping the conversation — at that point the table is useless, because consulting it mentally takes longer than the turn lasts.
Word order is the same story. Verb second in the main clause, verb last in the subordinate clause: two minutes to explain, months to automate. So are separable verbs, which make you hold a particle in memory from the start of the sentence until the end of it.
The numbers pile on. German says them backwards — «einundzwanzig», one-and-twenty — which turns any four-digit figure into a short-term memory exercise. None of this is fixed by studying more. It is fixed by saying it out loud until it stops being a decision.
What actually gets in the way, and where you drill it
- Articles and pronouns
- «der», «die», «das» and their declensions are the core of German, and they get their own exercise with a closed list so they are asked repeatedly rather than looked up.
- Prepositions
- In German the preposition governs the case, so getting it wrong drags the article and the adjective down with it. Drilled separately for that reason.
- Numbers
- Seven difficulty levels. German's inverted order is exactly the kind of thing that only automates by being said quickly, many times.
- Verbs
- 300 verbs in the syllabus, with separable and clause-final verbs asked out loud — which is where word order is genuinely decided.

That is literally the use case. Agnetia does not explain grammar; it makes you use it under time pressure, six to seven turns a minute, which is what turns a known rule into a reflex.
Does it correct my German pronunciation?
No. It does not grade accent or articulation in any language. It corrects what you say, not how it sounds.
Does it prepare the Goethe-Zertifikat or TestDaF?
It does not prepare specific official exams and there are no mock papers. It trains the speaking those tests contain, not their format.
How do I know I am improving?
